Dear Sanchez Families and Staff,

Hello! My name is Cindy Dunn, and I am incredibly honored and excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of Arturo A. Sanchez Elementary School. Joining the Sanchez family feels like coming home. I have dedicated 30 years to education, and 17 of those years were right here in the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District, where I had the privilege of serving students, families, and staff at Benton Middle School and Anna M. Glazier Elementary School. Those years helped shape who I am as an educator and leader, and I am thrilled to once again serve this wonderful community.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach and lead in a variety of schools and districts, but one belief has always remained the same: students are at the heart of every decision I make. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired each day they walk through our school doors.

As your principal, my goal is to build on the many strengths that already exist at Sanchez while working alongside our dedicated staff and families to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Together, we will create a school where students love to learn, teachers feel supported, families feel welcomed, and everyone knows they belong.

A Few Fun Facts About Me:

Since we'll be spending a lot of time together, I thought I'd share a few things about

myself!

🏰 I'm a huge Disney fan! I love the joy, imagination, and sense of possibility that Disney inspires. You'll probably spot a little Disney magic in my office from time to time!

🐮 I also love cows! They always make me smile, so don't be surprised if you see a cow or two decorating my office.

☕ Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, and enjoying an ice cold diet Dr. Pepper!My Commitment to Our School Community

I truly believe that the best schools are built on strong partnerships between home and school, and I look forward to working together to make this an amazing year for every student.
